Příspěvek se věnuje vývoji integrovaného přístupu a budoucímu přechodu k udržitelnému způsobu života. Blížeji vyzdvihuje důležitost vzdělávání k udržitelnému rozvoji, zvyšování uvědomění a participace veřejnosti a zlepšení i šíření informací. Zdůrazňuje úlohu inovací a výzkumu. Zaměřuje se na vývoj v této oblasti ve světě i u nás.
