In this brief paper, Jan Čeřovský presents a brief history of Youth and Environment Europe – YEE, the youth offshoot of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which congregated at the environmental education centre at Oucmanice near Brandýs nad Orlicí on 28 July 2012, with the attendance of high representatives of both the IUCN and YEE as well as eyewitnesses of the youth organization's activities in the Czech Republic. Among other things, the author comments on a newly published book on the topic (International Youth Federation for Environmental Studies and Conservation (IYF) – an account of the involvement of young people in conservation from 1950 to 2010), which he has initiated and co-authored.Downloads
